Sorts overview
Sorts make it easier to build the schedule around the constraints, such as actor and location availability.

Scheduling from Sorts
Select strips with Click, Shift-Click, Command-Click;
Drag and Drop the selected strips in the Shooting Day in the Schedule.
Add Sort
Click on Sorts, Click on Add Sort;
Sort Options: Click on Clear All button(5) to remove previous selections;
Select elements in menus with Click, Shift-Click, Command-Click;
Click in Sort Name field(6), type the Sort name;
Click on Sort.
Note: if Autoname Sort box is ticked(7), Sort name will be the first element clicked in up to 3 menus.
Sort options for Extras, Specials, Roles
Click in the field(8) to change the option;
Click on the new option(9).
ANY
Scenes which contain ANY of the selected elements will be in the Sort, if they have the selected elements from other menus as well.
ALL
Scenes which contain ALL of the selected elements in a menu will be in the Sort, if they have the selected elements from other menus as well.
Example: Selecting MARTIN, ZOE, CUPID and ALL gives a Sort with the scenes with the 3 actors in (and any other actors).
NONE
Scenes which contain NONE of the selected elements in a menu will be in the Sort, if they have the selected elements from other menus as well.
Example: ZOE is not available, so selecting NONE and ZOE gives a Sort with the scenes which ZOE is not in.
ONLY
Scenes which contain ONLY the selected elements in a menu (and NO other elements from that menu) will be in the Sort, if they have the selected elements from other menus as well.
Example: Selecting CUPID, MARTIN and ONLY will give the scenes which ONLY CUPID and MARTIN are in (and no other actors).
Arrange by
The chosen option works with the current Sort in the Sort WIndow and the Sort in the Breakdown Editor.
Within each part of the ’arrange by’ in the Sort, Scenes are in Story Order.
Arrange by options are:- Set/Location, Filming Location, Story Order, Shooting Day No., Int/Ext, Time of Day, Script Day, Production Notes, Scene id Prefix.
Click on the Arrange By field, Click on the option.
Select a previous Sort
(Try scheduling with ALL SCENES using the Arrange By options)
Default Sorts available are:- ALL SCENES, UNSCHEDULED SCENES, NOT SHOT.
Click in the Sort name field OR on the menu(4) to show the Sorts;
Click on the Sort.
Delete Sorts
Click on Sorts, Click on Delete Sorts;
Select Sorts in table with Click, Shift-Click, Command-Click;
Return OR Click on Delete.
Rearrange the columns
When you want a column nearer to the strips window to help you schedule.
Click in the column header(3);
Drag and Drop the column in the new position.
Show scenes from Sort in Schedule
Strips Window: Click on Layout button(1);
Click on Show Sort box(2).
Sort scenes have a red background.
Select Sort scene in Schedule
Double-click on (Shooting) Day No. of scene in Sort.
Schedule will move to show selected scene.
Selected Scenes
Select All
Click on Selected Scenes, Click on Select All to select all the scenes in the Sort
Select in Story Order Window
In the Sort: Select scenes using Select All OR click, shift-click and command-click;
Click on Selected Scenes, Click on Select in Story Order Window.
All the selected scenes from the Sort are selected in the Story Order Window where they can be removed or edited as a group for filming location, Int/Ext, set/location, time of day, cast, extras, specials, script day/time (control-click in a column in a selected scene)
Options
Click in the Options box to show the Sort options chosen from the table.
A Breakdown Sheet Sort on a Category or Element in a Category is named after the Category or Element.
